This Week's Fashion Statement

The Saver's Special:

All OshKosh clothes but each piece purchased for $.99 from Savers. Shoes are from Target - $10.

Into the soda drawer - I always go right for the ginger ale!

Note the cuffs on the bottom of my pants - they are flannel lined!

You will note that in most of the photos my feet are cut off. It's because I streak by at T Rex running speeds!

Catch Up

Here are a few things we've been up to...

The snow has finally stopped but for a while it was piling up. I like to watch Dad shovel show! Although, I'm not much of a fan of the snow. So I watch through the back door staying nice and cozy warm!

Some friends came over for gaming this weekend. Ms. LF played ball with me! Mom thinks I might have a bit of a crush on her but I deny it completely! Note her short hair - she cut it all off to donate it!

We've also been making trips out to the barn to take care of the horses. It's been bitterly cold so I have to get all bundled up in multiple layers of clothes. Here's Dad and me before the tiger coat and mittens go on.

And here I am after the coat! Mom says I walk like the State Puff Marshmallow Man!

Rating for 2008: NICE

My Santa Christmas rating this year: NICE.

Yes, Santa stopped at our house this year. Leaving gifts and tidings for Mom, Dad, and me, and devouring the sugar cookies and milk.

It was a fun morning. Here's what I woke up to:

Kitchen set and stocking from Santa - check out Mom's giant stocking under the tree! How do I get one of those?!? Note the snow outside - white Christmas!

WOW!!! My new kitchen set - I love it!

There's nothing girlish about this stove - I'm cooking a football!

Opening my stocking and loving my new baby rhino

With everything from my stocking

Giving hugs to the giant stuffed horse from Nan - goes with the cowboy blanket she made for me.

My Christmas gift to Mom and Dad: I slept until 8:45 am!

I hope all of you had as wonderful a Christmas. Mom and Dad said it was the best one they've had since they've been married! I'm thinking I have something to do with that!

Santa, I'm Ready...

I'm nestled all snug in my bed while visions of spheres dance in my head!

I'm all ready, Santa!

(P.S. It is snowing very hard here. We're leaving our lights on so you can find your way. We know you'll probably have Rudolph with you to guide your way, but we want you to be safe!)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!

Christmas Eve

Today is Christmas Eve. We had a decently full day but it seemed so calm at the same time.

I awoke at 5:45 ready to start the day. Don't worry - both Mom and Dad sneaked in some extra sleep. And I took 2 awesome naps!

Here is the day as it unfolded...

Lunch with Ms. LB and the "Little Man" E

Being silly at lunch! Note the puffs in my tray - I'm off the wagon and addicted to puffs again. It might explain my silliness!

Cruising around - briefly - downtown after lunch - it was SO cold!

Nan came over - always SO much fun with her. She had to leave the room so I could eat my dinner - all I wanted to do was play with her!

Playtime with both Grandmas! Over the top fun! I kept making them look at the tree - I LOVE IT!

Helping Grandma and Grandpa open their gifts - fun with wrapping paper.

Playtime with Aunt Pam while more gifts were being opened. She's a hoot!

Helping pass out gifts for opening. That's me under the Christmas tree table.

Patty cake with Dad - Mom calls this a distraction so we could finish opening some gifts.

With my Grandparents on Christmas Eve - you can see that I had a great time!

Merry Christmas!!!

Fashion Statements (December 23, 2008)...

Mom is having me wear all my Christmas outfits one last time this week. We'll be posting as many as we can while the holiday is still approaching.

Strutting toward Mom in my flannel shirt - hand-me-down from Mr. N, jeans from Penny's, my Target Circo boots

Since my birthday was only last month, I got pretty good practice learning how to open gifts. And Mom has been letting me open a few when I seem interested to avoid the Christmas morning meltdown. Here's what Aunt Shelley's mom and sister gave me. Thank you! I love them!

I couldn't stop looking at his face!

It's a very cleaver gift since that's Thomas the Tank Engine and I'm Thomas! I had SO much fun unwrapping the gift - the tissue paper was the best. It did not taste half bad either!

Sampling the tissue paper while unwrapping my gift

The new outfit will definitely be featured as a fashion statement in a couple months - there's some growing room, which Mom greatly appreciates!

Hide and Seek with Dad

I love hide and seek.

And I'm getting pretty good at it so Dad has to come up with new and cleaver ways of hiding.

Here are some photos as well as video of last night's hide and seek session.

Hugs are always at the end of hide and seek. That's my favorite part!

Yes, Dad is hiding under the rug! If you turn on your speakers you can hear the gleeful sounds I make when I find him!

"I Know I'm Not Supposed to but..."

Mom and Dad keeping tell me "Feet on the ground" or "Walk away" but I just can't help myself. It's SO MUCH FUN!!!

This's Week's Fashion Statement (December 18, 2008)

So, it's cold here. Tomorrow the high will be around 23 degrees!! Burrrr. Mom bumdled me up this morning in my reversible tiger coat. It's a hand-me-down from one of our family friends - no idea what brand or where it was purchased or even how old it is. It is one of my favorite coats. And it is SO warm.

Thus, because it is so cold, what more appropriate statement of fashion, than a winter coat?!? (Mom thinks the orange color accentuates my blue eyes.)

We'll get a photo next time we reverse it. In the mean time, this is the coat as I wore it today.

(With one of my Christmas toys - ready for daycare school!)

Mom Tricks vs Dad Tricks

Mom and Dad have each been taking turns teaching me new things.

Here's what I've learned so far (turn your speakers on)...

Mom Tricks:

Dad Tricks:

Our pediatrician always says, "Dads are fun and moms mean business." In this case, she is totally right! (Although, Dad does his fair share of "business" so don't be fooled by the video examples.)

Another Very Cool Toy

Mom brought this home from Savers for me - it was only $2.99.

I love it.

But because it is a little fragile and I like to still pull things apart, we are going to save it for me until I am a little older or when Mom and Dad can sit with me to play with it.

Check it out. It's pretty cool! It's for more spheres - of course!

Visit to Grandma and Grandpa's this weekend...

Mom, Dad, and I stopped in for a quick visit with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. They had a fan that I was obsessed with and also I was having way too much fun climbing into Grandpa's chair!

Grandma supervising my chair climbing.

Align Center
Grandpa finally sat in the chair to keep me from climbing up and down (Mom was getting nervous that I might fall off - which I did - but only once.)

Thanks for a fun visit, Grandma and Grandpa - I love you!

I am such a fan of the fan...

Maybe it's because they are giant mobiles or maybe it's just because they're cool (no pun intended), but I am totally fascinated by fans!

Here are some photos that show my glee when I see fans...

Ahhh, the simple things in life are what make me happiest!

A Little "Light" Reading...

I got into Mom's office the other day and she discovered me reading.

This was what I was reading...

As it turns out, there is an article on asthma in it and that was why Mom saved this particular issue! Aunt Shelley, we might need a few more...

Toy Discovery

Yesterday when I was "helping" Mom clean out my room, I opened my toy chest and discovered a "new toy".

According to Mom, it is a loaner she's been storing for several months but she never knew how it worked. However, I was most insistent that she get it out of the toy chest so she finally complied (only after much convincing).

Upon examination of the toy, I left my room and went to my bin with all the spheres in the living room. I brought back two spheres and placed them on the toy and it came to life. It was so cool I played with it the entire time Mom cleaned my closet.

Me enjoying the toy and getting some encouragement from Mom.

Thanks Ms. Nancy for the loaner so many months ago. You definitely have the coolest toys!

Ho, Ho, Ho...This week in T Rex Fashion...

Mom found this outfit for me at Savers ($.99 for each piece). Both pieces are by Old Navy. The shoes are my boots from Target, Circo brand.

I'll be wearing all my Christmas clothes in the next couple weeks!

Look at all those teeth!
Six total now. Molars are starting to come in too - I've been just delightful to be around because of it!

Christmas Photos

Here are the photos we will be putting in our Christmas cards this year. Both photos are taken at the cabin.

Thank you, Aunt Pam and Dad, for taking these!
