Sick Week...

I ran a high fever for most of last week. Then it turned to a rash. Actually, that made Mom and Dad feel better about my fever because for a bit they were quite concerned it could be something more serious.

Aside from demanding more snuggles and laying on the couch (which is quite unusual), I was alright. And I seem to be fine now - just a bit of lingering rash.

Just...

Another one of those moments where I asked for my photo to be taken. First a pose and second a goofy face.

Raptor Encounter...

This past week I had a wonderful opportunity to meet a red tail hawk up close. I was very still, quiet, and well-mannered.

Look at those talons on her - very sharp. She is just a "beautiful pájaro" (bird).

Our friend is a raptor expert so he can introduce me to interesting things like this.

Thanks so much, Mr. TW.

Penguins...

My favorite exhibit at the zoo is the penguins. I love them. I have a pretend penguin pool with little penguins that I feed. I love it. I ask Mom and Dad all the time if I can feed the penguins at the zoo. And they say it might not be possible but we do still visit the penguins.

Well, yesterday on our trip, the penguin pool was empty. There was no water for them to swim in. And because of that, most of the penguins were in their beds relaxing.

I went to the glass and sat down. Before I knew it, one came up to the glass for a visit. Her name is Trixie.

Here is some of our conversation:

Second Trip to the Dentist...

Today I had my second official visit to the dentist. This time I was much more open to having my teeth examined and cleaned. I even let my hygienist, the same one I had last time, polish my teeth. I chose vanilla flavor - like the flavor of yogurt I often eat in the morning.

Here are some photos of the event...

First, putting on the cool bib.
Secondly, getting my teeth polished by the nice hygienist - note, Dad is holding my hand for reassurance and my Veggie Tales guys are in the other hand.
Checking out Mr. Thirsty - I thought he was really cool but I still would not let him suction anything from my mouth.
Testing out the distilled water dispenser.
After my teeth were all clean, Uncle Doc came in and counted my teeth again and said they looked great. I have been doing an awesome job on brushing my teeth. We are all feeling very proud.
Next time, I think I might try out Mr. Thirsty. In the mean time, I am so happy with my new green toothbrush - that's the color I wanted.
