T Rex Asthma Update

Since my last asthma exacerbation in November - which was the worst yet - I have not had to use any of my rescue medication (Xopenex/Albuterol).

In just a couple more days we are going to decrease my daily inhaled steroids (Pulmicort Respules) to once daily.

Since being out of daycare (Mom's at home with me now) which minimizes exposure to viruses, having the dogs in a separate living environment, using a HEPPA filter, and twice daily inhaled steroids, I have had no problems - even with the yellow and red alert air quality days.

We are so grateful for modern medicine.

After my maintenance nebulizer treatment - I get to finish watching my Baby Einstein show on the couch and disassemble and reassemble the device - it's so much fun - both the show and the "puzzle"!

Close up view of my "puzzle" or the nebulizer cup and mask.

Hopefully, this trend will continue.
We have all been so grateful for the break!

It's Still So Cold Out!!!

Mom snapped these photos right before we left the house for my friend's place. His mom was going to watch me so Mom could have some time for herself.

Showing my pointy hat!

It was so cold outside (20 degrees) I had to get bundled in my warmest coat.

The dogs get let out when we are gone - I sneaked in a "forbidden" pet before leaving. Luckily, because of all the measures we've been taking my asthma is under excellent control.

I guess it is fitting that my coat has a horse on it since that was who Mom was going to visit!

Poor Mom, it was really cold at the barn! You should have seen how many layers she had on!

Peaking out from behind my hood.

This time I'm very glad I did not get to go see the horses! Maybe when it gets a bit warmer!

Fun with Nan and Great-Auntie!!!

Mom and I had lunch with Nan and Great-Auntie last week.

We had so much fun!!!

With Nan and one of my favorite "toys"

Great Auntie reading to me!

Playing "Roll the Can" with Auntie!

Showing Auntie my Ducky

Snuggles and Tickles from Nan!

More play time!

Taking a reading break - I do that frequently!

(By the way, I really do spend a great deal of time playing with Mom. She's usually the one behind the camera.)

Thanks Nan and Auntie for a very fun visit! And the food was good too! The cheese was my favorite!

This week's fashion statement...(Sunday, January 25th, 2008)

So sorry I've slacked off on my fashion statements. Since Mom's home with me now, I often spend all day in my PJs!

Top and bottoms by Hanna Andersson - Ms. Caitlin bought the top at the outlet store in Oregon ($5) and Mom bought the pants online on clearance ($15) - they are reversible. The slippers are from Target - Circo brand ($6).

However, there are still a few days when I divert from being Hugh Heffner. I'll make sure I post more of those!

(P.S. This is my 100th post!)

1+1= FUN!!!!!

Today my buddy "C" came over to play while his mommy ran errands. Just a couple of one-year-olds having a fun time!!!

First we played some ball - we'll probably be on the same sports teams so we're getting an early start!

Here I'm showing "C" my moves!!!

Then Mom showed us her moves - we're enthralled!!

Just plain happy and having fun!!!

Giving my friend some snuggles - he's so good natured - Mom says my love can
sometimes be a little painful but he did not seem to mind!!

We ate a snack - zucchini bread or "cake" as I call it made by C's mom - Yum!!

My friend was kind enough to give me a wagon ride.

Video of our wagon ride - you can see the "love mark" on C's back - my kisses are still a little wet! I enjoyed the ride so much I did not care the handle banged me on the head.

Thanks, "C"!
I had just the best time. And I am certain Mom did too!!!

Baseball Baby! Lefty Pitcher?

What do you all think?

Possible lefty pitcher?

Although, I am pretty good with both arms, the photos tend to show more of me throwing left than right.

Ball in the outfield!!

Hmm, I wonder if soccer and baseball have different seasons? It would be difficult to decide which to play if they end up having the same season!

Running Errands with Mom

Here I am all ready to run errands with Mom.

And here I am after - one of the errands was to locate a giant sphere - I've been so sad since I gave back my friend Joseph's. Now I carry around one small one and one giant one - we call them Neptune and Mars!

Superman!!!

Check out my cool new pjs!

"Kal-El" of Krypton

Flying with Dad! Up, up, and away...

Super cool cape! Although, Mom and Dad keep saying, "No capes!" I think it might be a reference to "The Incredibles" but how would I understand!

Making the sign for "Dad" - I wanted to fly some more!

Tent and Tunnel Toy!!!

My friend got a really cool tent and tunnel for Christmas. Actually it is the other half of a tepee and even longer tunnel. (Mom is grateful that half is not in our living room right now but I hoping we can borrow it soon!)

Check us out!

Here I am going through the tunnel - after my spheres, of course!

Sitting in the tent portion - so much fun!!!

On the video you can see how big the set is. And you can see my hair standing up from the static electricity. If your speakers are on you can hear my squeaks of delight!

Thanks for the loaner, C!

We're going to have to add this one to top the top ten. Mom is working on a revised list that she will post later in the week.

Just for Fun

Mom is a little behind downloading photos from the camera.

So, here a photo from last week when both Mom and Dad were home and we were playing with my new blocks they gave me for Christmas.

I like getting in and out of things - boxes or wagons - makes no difference to me!

Puppy Lovin'

Mom found this photo today taken from the Christmas party at Aunt Shelley and Uncle Rich's last month. So, it's a couple week's old.

This is the only kind of puppy lovin' I'm allowed due to my asthma.

As you can see, I took a sphere with me to the party, although it did not keep me from going up and down the stairs endlessly.

Back to my old habits...

When I was tiny I used to sleep on my back with my arms up. I guess I am reverting back to old habits.

This was taken January 2008

Oh, how much I've changed!

What a difference a year makes!

I'm a Domestic Sort of Guy

Mom and Dad share chores at home equally so it is no wonder I love cooking and cleaning since I see Dad doing it all the time - right now I just want to imitate Dad non-stop.

You've seen me cooking my football.

Now you can see me working my very own vacuum.

Better go - there are more dust bunnies that need vacuuming...

Crayons...

Check out my new coloring crayons. They are Melissa & Doug Jumbo Triangular Crayons. So far I prefer blue. And as you can see from the video, they are non-toxic and also fun to chew on - Mom did not appreciate that though.

Thanks, Ms. Caitlin and Joseph, for my cool Christmas gift.

Yes, on my shirt there is a T Rex chasing the other dinosaurs!

Coloring and chewing with my new crayons. I'm also fond of paper tearing!

French Playtime

My bud Joseph and I both received totally awesome French shirts for our birthdays. As chance would have it, we both wore them for playgroup. Check us out...

Here I am playing ball with Mom - there's also a video to go along with the photo. In this photo you can see what my shirt says, "Gare au Dragon" - which Ms. C told us means "Roar like a Dragon". Joseph's shirt is about secret agents. Both are way cool!

Thanks Ms. C and C for our awesome birthday gifts. We love them!!! We're looking forward to celebrating both your birthdays real soon!

This Toy is Awesome!!!

Mom pulled out a saved Christmas gift for me to play with. It is a sea turtle that lights up and displays stars and moons on the ceiling.

As you can see, I think it's pretty cool!
Oh, and I'm wearing another birthday gift as well.

The best part is that it has buttons I can push to change the lights and colors.

Thanks, Mr. and Mrs. T (I mean, Ally and Sam) for my totally cool Christmas gift! (Love, T2)

* Mr. T calls me T2 - Tom Terrific

Snuggle Time with Mom and Dad

Mom and Dad captured some photos of me falling asleep in their arms. It does not happen all that often as I prefer the comforts of my own crib. However, I've been so busy during the day I seem to crash en route to my bedroom.

Cats & Cars - Mom has cats on her PJs and I have cars.

Mom caught Dad and me snoozing in my rocking chair.
