"I just can't stay awake..."

On Thanksgiving day I woke up at 5:30 am. Because I was up so early it was difficult for me to stay awake through lunch. Mom documented the event since I was fast asleep. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Asleep in my high chair

Eating and sleeping at the same time!

Fashion This Week (Thursday, November 27, 2008)

Here is this week's fashion statement - a little late but Mom saved my new outfit for the holiday and then with our trip to the wedding she did not get to post it.

Outfit by Gymboree - T Rex on shirt and embroidered dinosaurs on my jeans. T Rex claws by Baby Gap - another eBay purchase.

Cousin Melissa's Wedding

This past weekend we traveled to Cousin Melissa's wedding up in McCall, Idaho. It was a great trip and she was a beautiful bride. Although, I was scared by her beautiful dress and cried when they were presented to the congregation because of the clapping. Remember my birthday video? I don't like clapping and cheering. Congratulations, Cousin!

Here are a couple of snaps from the event.

Scared by how beautiful the bride was - that's her with her now husband, Kent. Mom tried to get me to come closer but as you can see, this was about as close as I would get!

Since we were sitting at the very back of the chapel (to minimize distractions to the ceremony due to my T Rex screeches), we got to see the bride and father-of-the-bride (Uncle Doc) peeking out of the dressing room waiting for their cue to come out - this is my favorite shot!

With Grandma N - I'm wearing my coat because we were in the mountains and it was cold outside!

We made a little bit of a family vacation out of the trip. Here are some of those highlights:

Mom filled one of the drawers in the hotel room with my toys - it was sturdy enough for me to play inside - SO much fun!

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's Cabin - look how high up I am!!! Taking this photo of me made Mom very nervous even though Dad was right by me the whole time. I fit in between those rails!

Reading in my forward facing car seat - I LOVE it!!!

We made a "quick" stop for lunch on the way back. I was getting a little impatient waiting for Dad to come back but I managed to stay distracted by calling his name. (Make sure your speakers are on!)

Then sleeping on the way home - so tired after so much fun! (Two and and half hour nap - I never do that at home!)

Exact One Year Old Photo

Mom and Dad picked me up at daycare school on my exact birthday - to the minute. Here are some photos from that moment...

First Birthday Song...

Here's the video from my birthday song. Twice Mom and Dad tried it with me and twice I did fine until the end with the cheering and clapping. Either I don't like the fact that the song is over or all the cheering is just too much for me.

Regardless, here it is...

Favorite activities: Being read to and riding on my airplane

Favorite character: Panda bears

Favorite people: If you're reading this, chances are you are one of my favorite people!

Birthday Gifts

Thank you everyone for all the gifts - Mom and Dad thought by making my party an "open house" it implied a "no gifts necessary" policy. I guess they were wrong. Thank you for the gifts. But thank you also if you did not bring a gift as it made Mom and Dad feel better.

I got tired after opening a few of the gifts. Mom put a few away for me to open later, as well as some for me to play with at a later time. I got a little overwhelmed with all the cool toys, books, and clothes.

Opening my table and chairs from Grandma and Grandpa

Mystery gift - it's a cool toy submarine but it had no card attached so I have no idea who gave me this cool toy? Anyone want to claim giving this cool gift?

Fun Photos of the week...

These are just some candid shots Mom and Dad took of me from this week.

They've been so busy this week but we still sneaked in some photos.

Quiet time before bed - I was sending a clear message to Mom and Dad by sitting down to ready my "Pajama Time" book!

Stay tuned for a fun weekend update to come...
