This week Mom has been in reorganization mode. Today we redid my bedroom closet - nothing compared to redoing Mom's half of the master bedroom closet a couple days ago.
This is me helping out...
These were the boxes Mom was using to pack up her winter sweaters...
I fit perfectly inside!
Collecting spheres...
I them put the spheres in my cart and run them between the bathroom and bedroom.
I've been exercising my "expressive abilities" recently - Mom says it's just a normal part of my development. However, I've been a little more "assertive" recently.
Today I thought I crossed a line because this is what showed up at the house...
Luckily, it turned out to be Uncle Rich - he must have heard Mom made homemade Shepherd's Pie and fresh oatmeal cookies. He was on break so he stopped in for a visit.
I showed him my spheres and pointed to "Thomas" while they ate dinner - Dad got home late so I had already eaten. (Once again, I'm in my PJs!)
All too soon he had to get back to work.
Thanks, Uncle Rich, for the visit. I'm SO glad I'm not busted!
Mom made fictitious lists for her blog but mine is not really a fictitious one so she's letting me post it on my blog.
Check it out...
T Rex To Do List:
1. Organize ball collection
2. Unroll toilet paper roll (ahh - one of my favorite activities!)
3. Eat nearest piece of food or food-like item from the floor
4. Locate phone and attempt to dial last received phone number (I've already called 3 different people - Aunt Shelley listened to us for 5 minutes before Mom finally hung up the phone!)
5. Wrestle with Dad
6. Play chase with Mom
7. Sit on potty
8. When Mom's not looking, climb as high as possible onto nearest unsafe surface
9. Leave hand prints (or mouth prints) on any newly washed windows
10. Sneak into the garage if door has been left unlocked
First, here I am in my Superman pajamas. I especially love the cape - it distresses me very much when it falls off!
I LOVE my oatmeal container. It has been one of my favorite toys for the past 8 months. Well, it finally fell apart. It must have been my "super" strength that finally did it!
But that's alright, now it's a telescope!
Until we meet again, Quaker Oats Man... (maybe at Grandma and Grandpa's house?)
So when I was 11 months old I was already playing soccer. If you'd like to see that video, click here.
Dad recently captured this. In it, I dribbled at least three different balls of varying sizes. Here I am at nearly 16 months continuing my soccer practice.
Once again I ask, am I ready for the World Cup?
(P.S. Once again a video from last week - I am on the mend after getting some much needed antibiotics for my sinus infection. Mom says she's waiting for the aliens to return "her child". I didn't think I was all that bad demanding to be held constantly.)
This past weekend, Dad gave me a much needed hair cut. Up until now, Cooper's mom has been cutting my hair and using scissors to do so. If you want a refresher of that, click here.
Well, this time Dad used the electric hair clippers. Here are some photos documenting the event...
Before...
Snacks in hand, movie queued - I'm as ready as I'm going to be...
After...
Snuggles with Mom after my haircut and shower Showing off my giant sphere and the new haircut.
Thanks, Dad, for my awesome haircut! (No small chore cutting a toddler's hair!)
(P.S. I've been sick this week so a couple of the postings this week will be photos from last week. And make sure you check out Mom's blog - she having a giveaway!)
Whenever the shuttle goes up we always sit together as a family and watch. This time was no exception. Mom even put my "Nan homemade pants" on me for the occasion.
In the morning we got up and checked to see if the launch was actually going to happen - it had been delayed a couple times already.
In this photo you can see the countdown timer.
Navigating the NASA website
Close up view of my pants - shuttles, stars, and planets - pretty cool!
Looking at some photos on the NASA website.
While I waited for the launch I went off and organized my spheres in the cargo hold of my airplane.
Then I occupied myself in playroom for a while.
Finally - time for launch. It was an evening launch - very cool!
Then it was time for bed - in my rocket, moon, and UFO PJs...
Here are the highlights of my busy day leading up to my weekend, in reverse order...
It's Friday after a long week and Dad wanted to give Mom a little break by starting the weekend early by taking a couple hours off and taking us to dinner.
We met Aunt Shelley at the restaurant - she always plays ball with me.
After dinner I ran around the courtyard outside the restaurant - I love to RUN!!!
Note the sphere in hand - always!!!
Walking with Mom - it was windy making the air a little chilly but I didn't care - I still LOVED running!
Tulips are coming up!!
Cruising with Aunt Shelley...
This morning we went over to Cooper's house for brunch. We tried to take a photo of the three of us but our moms discovered it is quite challenging to get three one-year-olds to all sit still at the same time for any length of time. But it was still great fun playing on the pillows and eating monkey bread!
If you click on the photo you will go to Ms. Caitlin's blog and she posted several photos from our shoot as well as photos from our playdates during the last year. You can see how we've grown!
Playing on the pillows - very fun!
Thanks everyone who made this a fantastic day. A very fun day but I'm glad it's the weekend - I need a break!
