Santa Photo

Here is the long awaited Santa photo. Mom has gotten a couple calls asking when it was going to be posted. So here it is:

Me with Santa and Mrs. Claus (this is actually a photo of the photo - not too bad, huh?)

I did not cry but I did not find his lap to be particularly comfortable. I found "Jolly Old St. Nick" more inviting that the Mrs., though. Mom's theory is that he had a cooler stuffed toy than she did!

Fun at the Christmas Bizarre

Today, Mom and I met up with some of our friends and we went to the Christmas bizarre. There were so many cool things there - but SO MANY spheres!

I met Santa and Mrs. Claus. I did get my photo taken with them but Mom has not yet scanned it into the computer so stay tuned...

In the mean time, here are some highlights from our trip:

My buddy and me in the car getting ready to leave - he's not yet one-year-old so he has to still be rear facing. It was fun to see each other. When we were not conversing in the back, we shared toys and books.

WOW!!!! SO MANY SPHERES!

Musician serenading the kids with Christmas music! We were all mesmerized. He actually crafted that instrument.

This was the sphere I brought home!

Thanks everyone that helped make it a fun trip!

Christmas Decorating with Mom and Dad

This weekend I helped Mom and Dad decorate the house for Christmas. Here are a few photos from the afternoon...

Helping Mom unpack the tree.

Ringing the bell - I was a little uncertain about the sound coming from the bell.

Playing with my train.

Outside with Dad while he was putting up lights.

This is me cruising around the backyard while Dad was putting up lights. I've never really just run around the backyard so it was most exciting to explore the area.

One Year Old Check Up

I just went in for my one-year-old check with my pediatrician, Dr. KS. She and her nurse are awesome, despite the vaccination shots I seem to get almost every time I see them - Mom constantly reminds me they are for my own good! This visit was no exception - four pokes total. My thighs are still swollen and probably will remain so for another week or two (due to the chicken pox vaccine).

On the bright side, I got my first lollipop (butterscotch) - I cried when Mom finally had to pry the stick from my grasp, a couple of really cool tongue depressors to chew on, and two blue camouflage band-aids! And they had some cool toys to play with in the room, too.

One of the really cool toys!

My grape flavored tongue depressors - my thighs are exposed for shots

Comfort from Dad and my faithful toothbrush

A few stats -

Weight: 21 lbs, 14 oz

Height: 29 3/4 inches long
Head: 25 percentile (I've never had a big head)

Dr. says based on my growth schedule she thinks I'll be around 5'9", like Dad. Although, we cannot know for sure until I'm 2 or 3 years old. Mom has been worried about my growth, especially since I haven't really gained any weight, but Dr. says I am such a busy guy it is to be expected and that I am totally on track with everything. Dr. complimented me on my walking skills, too.

Video of me waiting to see Dr. KS. If your speakers are on you can hear me cooing to the toys.

Well, with that behind me, my next check up is at 15 months. I will get one shot then, Hep A. Since I have asthma, Dr. opted that I postpone this vaccination to a later time. On a side note, my asthma has been significantly improved. Let's hope that continues.

This Week's Fashion Statement (Thursday, December 4, 2008)

This week's fashion statement: "Lil' Buckaroo"

My pants are a Savers find for $1 - they are the most amazing corduroy with pockets in back. They are old despite their untarnished look. So old in fact, the label looks to have come from the late seventies and were made in the USA. You don't see pants like this anymore. The shoes are by Kid Connection by Target ($10).

The shirt is another Gymboree find purchased with Gym bucks.

Lastly, Mom snapped the photos while I was playing with my Cowboy Bag. A perfectly preserved hand-me-down from cousin Steve from 10 years ago!

A that's this week in fashion.

(Stay tuned for the next posting as I will have had my 1 year old check up and vaccinations - wish me and my parents luck!!!)

Fun at Ms. Caitlin's House

Today Mom and I paid Ms. Caitlin and Joseph and visit. It was so much fun!!!

I touched a real Christmas tree for the first time and played some fun games. As we drove up we checked to see if the TruGreen truck was parked outside her neighbor's house but instead we saw the UPS truck!

Here are a few moments that were captured:

Playing ball - my favorite game and she had me giggling so hard!

One of the few photos of Mom and me playing - she's usually behind the camera.

Thanks, Ms. Caitlin, for being such a wonderful friend to Mom and such a great hostess.

We always have a good time going over to your house!

Happy Birthday, Dad!!!

(Below: This is what Mom and I got Dad - we're planning on watching this space documentary together!)
Today is Dad's birthday!!!

What a nice time we had celebrating his special day. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Grandma and Grandpa N will not be heading to Arizona, at least not for now. Since they are usually gone by now we rarely get to see them on Dad's birthday. They brought over Chinese food and a special huckleberry pie dessert for Dad. What a treat for all of us!!!

It was a special day for dad, having all of us together on his birthday. But also for me because I got to spend some time with my grandparents. Thanks for a great time, Grandma and Grandpa.

And Happy Birthday, Dad!!!

I love you! Thanks for being the best dad and taking care of me during the wee hours of the morning. Mom and I thank you for that and everything else you do, especially for changing all my stinky diapers!

Here are a few highlights from the evening:

This is what Grandma and Grandpa got Dad!

While Dad was opening his Vandal blanket Mom was drinking from her BSU mug! Grandma and me in the background.

Playing ball with Grandma.

Patty cake with Grandpa - SO much fun!!!
